Montesa. The most stylish brand

Montesa

Montesa is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer that has a long and storied history in the world of trials riding. The company was founded in 1944 by Pedro Permanyer and Francisco Xavier "Paco" Bultó, and initially focused on producing motorized bicycles. In the 1950s, Montesa began producing small displacement motorcycles that were popular for their affordability and reliability. In the 1960s, the company introduced its first trials motorcycle, the Impala, which was successful in competition and helped to establish Montesa's reputation as a producer of high-quality off-road motorcycles. Throughout the 1970s, Montesa continued to develop its trials bike range, releasing a number of larger displacement models including the Cota 247 and the Cota 349. These bikes were highly sought after by riders looking for reliable and capable machines for tackling tough trials terrain. In the 1980s and 1990s, Montesa continued to innovate in the trials market, introducing a number of new models including the Cota 4RT and the Montesa Cota 4RT Repsol, which was developed in collaboration with the Spanish oil company Repsol. Today, Montesa is a well-respected name in the world of trials riding, and its bikes are known for their performance, reliability, and innovation. The company continues to produce a range of high-quality trials bikes for riders of all levels, and is committed to helping its customers achieve their full potential on the trails.
